Experimental Study on the Properties of Autoclave Curing High-Strength Concrete According to CaO/SiO2 Ratio

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this experimental study, tests were conducted to obtain the CaO/SiO2 (C/S) molar ratio that minimizes micropores of hardened concrete. To end, compressive strength, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and microporous structure concrete investigated using specimens made with silica fume quartz powder under high-temperature/high-pressure conditions. The yielded following results: (1) highest strength (200 MP) was exhibited in C/S range 0.7–0.9, lower ranges ≤ 0.6 ≥ 0.95; (2) productivity calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) tended increase proportion all specimens; (3) microstructure measured mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), maximum total porosity calculated be 10%. As increased, decreased, as did pore diameter threshold diameter. Thus, found a major factor affecting autoclave-cured cement optimal mechanical properties 0.8–0.9. However, reactivity varies depending on material used curing conditions employed. Therefore, hydration products obtained need further.

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Experimental Charcterization of Strength of Self Curing Concrete

Today concrete is most widely used construction material due to its good compressive strengt h and durability. Depending upon the nature of work the cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water are mixed in specific proportions to produce plain concrete. Plain concrete needs congenial atmosphere by providing moisture for a minimum period of 28 days for good hydration and to attain desired...

Experimental investigation of the strength of glass fiber-reinforced concrete exposed to high temperature

This study investigated the effects of high temperature exposure on the compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths of concrete containing glass fiber. A total of 108 cubic specimens (150 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm), cylindrical specimens (300 mm × 150 mm), and prismatic specimens (500 mm × 150 mm × 150 mm) were prepared for compressive, tensile, and flexural strength testing, respectively. The spec...

internal curing of high strength self consolidating concrete by saturated lightweight aggregate - effects on material properties

self-desiccation is the major source of autogenous shrinkage and crack formation in low water-binder ratio (w/b) concretes which can be reduced by internal curing. in this paper performance of high strength self consolidating concrete (hs-scc) with w/b of 0.28 and 0.33 including autogenous shrinkage, drying shrinkage, compressive strength, and resistance to freezing-thawing was investigated. th...

An Experimental and Analytical Study on Alccofine Based High Strength Concrete

The use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in concrete manufacturing is considered as financial, technical and environmental benefit. In this regard, this paper presents the experimental and analytical study of high strength concrete (HSC) with alccofine-1203 (alccofine) and fly ash as partial replacements to cement. A total of seven mixes were prepared with different percentages of...
